Madic flew low over the empire, nearing Teirm with increasing speed. His hair and face was hidden by the scarf, wrapped around his mouth and head, leaving his eyes exposed. He sat in the saddle provided him by the elves, before his leaving them after completing his training. He was now a full-fledged rider, wire-wrapped hilt poking out of a black leather sheath. A shimmering green emeral shone from the pommel, an indication of his color.
Eridor swooped low, spreading his wings against the wind to slow himself. He was much larger now, almost matured fully. He was starting to breathe extremely hot smoke, almost able to breathe fire. Madic was proud to have been chosen by this dragon, hidden in the depths of Surda. He was hidden, no hint of his elven heritage visible, thanks to a heavy, rough leather trenchcoat. he smiled and watched the city in the distance.
The duo approached a large hill, complete with a cave.
"You can Stay here while i'm in the city. Keep out of trouble, and only fly in the night. It's hard enough in these times being a rider, much less a rider of the varden in the empire." Madic thought-spoke.
"You speak to me as if i were still a child." Eridor teased. The dragon entered the cave, lustrous green scales shining. He admired the dragon, then walked out of the cave, to the city. He would pretend to be a rogue mercenary, looking through the Empire for work.

((:D OMG Its been like a bazillion years since I posted...sorry...))
Aterylwen listened to Verin as she laid down her ground rules, a finger lying gently on her lips. She didn’t agree with Verin’s approach of the matter. It wasn’t planned through enough to her liking, but this was Verin’s show, and Aterylwen knew it would be near impossible to change her mind once it was made up. So she followed along as they walked out to the busy streets.
Verin skipped along happily and Aterylwen trailed along contently next to Emily; until Verin cut down a town guard. She stopped a ways back, letting the purple-haired half-elf kill their kinsman. “Mmmm,” she mumbled with distaste.
"Where exactly are we going?" she heard Emily ask. She knew Emily wanted to nudge Verin in a more…helpful direction. Aterylwen pulled out her own sword as she saw more guards moving to the public disturbance. ”It’s a bit late to try and correct things, Emily. We might as well get their attention by ruffling some feathers. The best we can hope for now is a confrontation.”
Aterylwen looked to the cliffs outside the port city. She thought she saw movement, but dismissed it a moment later to try and not kill her fellow countrymen. ”His majesty will not be pleased with this…”

"Who cares what that old sack-of-bones thinks! Once he's gone, I'm pretty much running the show! Ahh, think of it! Executions every day! No more pesky Varden; we'll have hunted them down like beasts. Slaves to tend to our every whim! And the forests will be back in the hands of Man, not those foolish elves! Brisinger du Sverd!", she shouted, as civilians ran in all directions and dozens of town watch poured out from the side streets. Her swords burst into flame as she twirled and spun with grace that proved her ancestry, cutting down soldiers left and right. Archers poured arrows down upon her, and she screamed unexpectedly when they wouldn't come out of her. The head were cruel man-killers, barbed and serrated to ensure a bloody death. While she was distracted, she recieved a score of blows from swords and pikes, slicing her armor off in a revealing fashion. Three mages ran up and somehow managed to disarm her with their weak spells, and then shoved the selfsame poison that nearly killed the elf Arya down her throat. She collapsed as an unknown weakness took her, and Caranthor roared with rage as he, too, succumbed to the pain shared in his Rider's mind. An observant person would have looked past the gruesome scene of Verin's capture and seen a dark figure, hooded and cloaked, walk away from the area by rooftop with an undeniable air of satisfaction.

Before Emily could stop her Verin had been badly injured, poisoned, very nearly killed, and imprisoned. Emily looked on in awe completely ignoring all else but the scene in front of her and missing the cloaked figures smugness completely. Emily's mouth hung open with complete awe, and in part with disdain at what Verin did. She blinked a few times before getting her mind back enough to say something. "Aterlywen, do you know where the prison is?" Emily thought for a split second and then spoke again not giving Aterylwen the chance to answer, "Actually the Mayor's residence would be a better idea, we can force him to release Verin. I'm sure we hold enough influence between the two of us."
Emily watched as blood flowed in rivulets from Verin's wounds. She muttered a few words in the ancient language, healing as much of Verin's internal damage without exhausting herself too much. She felt a wave of fatigue but caught herself before she fell. She was pleased to see that Verin's wounds weren't bleeding as quickly as they had been then turned to face Aterylwen.

Aterylwen was just as shocked as Emily at Verin's unexpected downfall. She began to bite her lip in the mad chaos that was once a popular street in Teirm, and watched as Emily hurried to heal Verin's wounds. "Aterylwen, do you know where the prison is?" Emily paused for a moment before answering herself. "Actually the Mayor's residence would be a better idea, we can force him to release Verin. I'm sure we hold enough influence between the two of us." However, fatigue overcame her and she slumped to the ground. Aterylwen rushed to Emily's side and helped her sit up.
"Emily," Aterylwen told her calmly, "Verin is right in front of you..." She heard shouting in the distance and looked to find more guards rushing to the scene. "Impeccable timing," she muttered. She needed more time to finish Emily's heals and to help make their escape. She focused her magic and raised her hand to point at the guards."Jierda theirra kalfis!!!" Aterylwen felt the blue nimbus of her magic fade from her hands and listened on queue to the shrieks of pain as the calves of the running guards snapped clean in half.
Aterylwen then leaned over to finish what Emily had started. “Waíse heill!” she whispered. Slowly, and with concentration, Aterylwen completely healed over Verin’s wounds. She sighed in relief and grabbed Verin, slowly moving her on to her back. She grunted under the weight of the half-elf as she stood up to face Emily. ”The Mayor can wait, for now we need to find a place to stay. We also need to find out what they shoved down Verin’s throat. Can you stand?

((yeah, I'm gone, baby. I thinks TS is too confuzzled right now. WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING, WOMAN!?!?!......either way, I've been carried off, and my other charry [who has yet to be app'd/finished, through no fault of my own] walked a small distance away from the scene as an NPC, so I'll temp. roll as him if it's alright with you guys, assuming you find him, or he chooses to make contact. I doubt that Carik/Kaala will have anything to say. This place is 98% dead 93% of the time. Yes, that made sense.))
